Homemade weapon, array of drugs found in Logan raids
SPRINGWOOD Police have arrested seven people after allegedly finding drugs and a home-made "billy club" weapon in raids at Springwood and Slacks Creek yesterday.

During the searches police allegedly seized quantities of ice, speed, cannabis, 'magic' mushrooms, cannabis seeds and other drug paraphernalia.
Police also seized a home-made billy club, an extendable batten and a stolen motor scooter.
Seven people have been charged with multiple drugs and weapons offences including a 30-year-old Slacks Creek man who was charged with one count each of unlawful possession of a Category M weapon (the billy club), possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils and failing to dispose of a syringe.
He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 13.

Officer in Charge of Springwood Police Senior Sergeant Paul Lehfeldt said police were alarmed with what was found during the operation.
"The weapons and drugs located during these raids are concerning to police," Senior Sergeant Lehfeldt said.
"It is a good result for the local community to have these illicit drugs off the streets and weapons out of harm's way.
"We will continue to target these types of offences in the Springwood area and urge anyone with information about drug activity or suspicious behaviour to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
