POLICE have charged a 21-year-old man with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and unlicensed driving after investigating a three vehicle crash this morning on the Bruce Hwy.
The 21-year-old man from Gunalda, three hours south of Miriam Vale where the crash happened, was with another 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl when the crash happened.
Police will allege the stolen sedan the 21-year-old man was in crashed into the rear of a semi trailer before another semi trailer crashed into the rear of the sedan at about 3.25am this morning.
The girl was airlifted to Rockhampton Base Hospital with head injuries while the two males were take to Gladstone Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck drivers were uninjured.
Police will continuing to investigate.
POLICE have not yet laid any charges following the traffic crash on the Bruce Hwy 13km south of Miriam Vale after three people in a suspected stolen car crashed into two trucks.
It is believe they were heading north when they slammed into the rear of a truck heading in the same direction.
They came to rest in the middle of the road and were hit by another truck also heading north.
RACQ Capricornia Rescue Helicopter Service was called in to transport a 17-year-old girl to Rockhampton Hospital with suspected spinal injuries and lacerations to her head.
The two other male occupants were taken to Gladstone Hospital.
All three had non-life threatening injuries.
The truck drivers escaped injury.
Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the crash and the circumstances around the suspected stolen vehicle and are yet to press charges.
Police are investigating following a crash outside Miriam Vale involving a suspected stolen car.
Around 3.25am, a suspected stolen car travelling north on the Bruce Highway crashed into the rear of a truck about 12km south of Miriam Vale.
The truck continued for a short distance to find a safe spot to pull over, and the car with three people remained in the middle of the road.
Shortly after, the three people got out of the vehicle before a second truck crashed into it.
Two men, the driver and a passenger have been taken to the Gladstone Hospital.
A woman was airlifted to the Rockhampton Hospital.
None of the injuries sustained by the trio are believed to be life-threatening at this time.
They will assist police with their enquiries when they are medically fit to do so.
The Bruce Highway has been closed for most of the morning, but traffic has now begun flowing again with one lane now reopened.
The Forensic Crash Unit and detectives will continue their investigation today
