Ian Thorpe's autobiography a must read

IAN Thorpe's achievements as a swimmer are nothing short of phenomenal.

He broke 22 world records and won five gold, three silver and one bronze Olympic medals.

He won a record 11 world titles and 10 Commonwealth Games gold medals.

Thorpe retired from competitive swimming in 2006 because of the intense pressure he felt, but five years later he decided to make a hugely publicised comeback.

He is one of the world's most successful sportsmen, but it was the way he managed his triumphs and his commitment to helping others that earned him respect and admiration internationally.
