CHANNEL 10's new social experiment sees high-profile celebrities tough it out in the jungle without personal assistants, mobile phones or makeup artists.
The popular UK reality series I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! finally gets an Australia spin-off after filming in Queensland for more than a decade.
Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown will host the game show five nights a week, live from South Africa.
Morris became a fan of the show while living in the UK for seven years.
"People (viewers) imagine what they would be like if they were put in the same position," she tells APN.
"It's interesting to see different people respond to so many different elements.
"I have a friend who did it in the UK and he came out on the other side saying he was a changed man in a very positive way."
The chemistry between the comedian and the Bondi Vet was sparked when they presented a Logie Award together in 2013.
The next year they co-hosted the Logies nomination announcement.
"Certainly that's when the love affair started," quips Morris.
Brown added: "And like all good love affairs, we go to Africa to consummate our relationship."
The 10 celebrities, competing on the show for charity, will be revealed during tonight's premiere.
Speculation over the identities of the celebs, who will suffer without their creature comforts at a basic base camp, has been rife.
Ten has confirmed the cast will include a "world-famous" television actress, an AFL superstar, a four-time Olympian, a legendary Test cricketer, an international model, a fashion icon, a hot young comedian, a television star, a Gold Logie nominee and a member of television royalty.
Viewers will vote for which celebrities get luxury food items, compete in gross or scary challenges and ultimately who wins the show.
"Once all those things are stripped away we get to see the basics of human survival, while trying to be polite as we very gently break them down in the nicest possible way," Morris says.
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! debuts tonight at 6.30pm on Channel 10.
Who we want to see go on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
TV royalty: Kerri-Anne Kennerley
She ticks all the boxes and has certainly had shows on all four networks (Ten, Seven, Nine and Foxtel). We reckon the ever-luminous KAK would handle roughing it in the jungle with class.
Fashion icon: Alex Perry
He might not meet the "one of the most beautiful people in the world" criteria but Alex Perry's dresses sure are gorgeous. We'd love to see what happens if he was forced to ditch those sunnies permanently perched on his head.
Hot young comedian: Josh Thomas
He's awkward, a Channel 10 darling from his Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation days and would have some of the most hilarious reactions to Africa's creepy crawlies.
International model: Megan Gale
She's a new mum but perhaps catwalk glamazon Megan Gale is just adventurous enough to sign on to a show like this.
Gold Logie nominee: Chrissie Swan
This Big Brother alumn is no stranger to reality TV or isolation from the outside world, plus she satisfies the clue of being a TV and radio star. She's down-to-earth, funny and tells it like it is.
Four-time Olympian: Steven Bradbury
Bradbury competed in speed skating at four Winter Olympics and recently commentated on the Sochi Games for Channel 10. This Queensland Sport Hall of Fame member would be a good competitor.
