Image released in investigation of teen sexual assault

POLICE have released an image of a man who may be able to assist in the investigation of the sexual assault of Coast teen.

On March 14, about 11.15am the 17-year-old girl was approached by a man on the access path to Alexandra Beach.

She ignored him and walked towards the intersection of Pacific Terrace and Alexandra Pde, but the man followed her and grabbed her inappropriately.

The girl pushed the man and continued to walk away.

He is described as Caucasian, in his late twenties to mid-thirties, approximately 187cm tall with a large build and scruffy, dirty blond hair.

The man was last seen getting into a new model, silver "sports type" sedan (possibly a Holden Commodore) before driving southbound along Alexandra Pde.

Anyone who may be able to identify the man or who has any information that may be able to assist with their enquiries is urged to contact Policelink on 13 14 44.
