AFTER a successful 2011 season, Mission Queensland Firebird Laura Geitz is ending the year with a massive road trip through Central Queensland delivering her hugely popular Laura Geitz Clinics.

The talented defender has had a stellar year culminating with her winning Australia's highest accolade for a netballer - the Liz Ellis Diamond.

From winning the ANZ Championship undefeated, to being part of the 2011 World Netball Championship winning team and helping Australia take back the World Number One netball ranking, Laura Geitz has had a busy year on the court.

To end the year, she is heading to Central Queensland for a road trip down the coast helping young netballers in regional Queensland hone their skills.

Geitz said she was excited to be able to meet her young fans.

"Growing up in a regional area, I know how hard it is for young netballers to have access to their favourite netball stars," she said.

"Regional netballers have to work extra hard to fulfil their netball dreams, but it is possible.

"This is why I have decided to hit the road to visit some of my fans in regional Queensland and help them hone their netball skills."

Netballers aged 8 to 16 years can attend the Rockhampton Netball Association on Saturday, December 17, from 9.00am-11.30am.

There are still spaces available in the clinics, registrations can be found via www.laurageitz.com.au
