Soccer sessions to inspire youngsters in Middlemount

SATURDAYS are set to soar with fun for junior soccer players in the Middlemount area.

A six-week Saturday morning junior soccer program is being held at the Middlemount Community Sports Field.

The program kicks off on Saturday, February 3, and is run by coach Blair Grice with help from Andy Brayshaw, formerly with the Scottish Premier League and Brisbane Strikers, and two Dutch coaches.

"Basically it's a soccer program concentrating on dexterity, co-ordination, fast footwork and basic soccer skills inside inflatable pens," Grice said.

"No experience is necessary."

The Mini Kickers program for three to five-year-olds is from 8.30 - 9.10am and is followed by the Super Five program for five to 13-year-olds from 9am - noon.

Registrations are $120 for Mini Kickers and $220 for Super Five and discounts apply for families with more than one participant.

Players can register by phoning Grice on 0400 033 989 or by visiting the website footballfc.com.au.
