Injured teen serious but stable

AN Orion teenager badly hurt in a single-vehicle car crash on Saturday remains in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital intensive care unit in a serious but stable condition.

The female, 17, was one of two occupants in a Toyota Prado that rolled on Arcturus Rd.

A 16-year-old female is in Rockhampton Hospital being treated for back injuries.

Yesterday, she remained in a stable condition according to a Queensland Health spokeswoman.

The older teenage was the holder of a provisional licence. The other girl was unlicensed.

Crash investigators are waiting until the condition of both girls improve to determine the driver.

The car, which rolled a number of times, was written off in the crash.

The teens were heading for a property on Three Chain Rd when the vehicle failed to negotiate a right-hand corner.
