Injured Wallaby to miss Pumas clash
RUGBY: Props Toby Smith and Tom Robertson will come into the Wallabies squad after Allan Alaalatoa was ruled out of Saturday's Test against Argentina in Perth.
Alaalatoa (pictured) had scans on his knee following Australia's come-from-behind 23-17 win over South Africa at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.
The knee injury will definitely keep the 22-year-old out of this week's Rugby Championship clash and he could also miss the return game against the Springboks in Pretoria on October 1.
Wallabies defence coach Nathan Grey said Alaalatoa's injury was disappointing, especially with how he had played this year.
"It's unfortunate but it's good to have those guys ready to roll,” he said.
"He's been among a number of the new guys who have come into the Wallaby set-up and really performed well and that's what we want from all the guys coming in is to deliver their strengths and I think our scrum was very consistent last night and quite dominant.
"Having those new blokes at the forefront of that is critical.”
The Wallabies showed good fight to snap their six-Test losing streak in Brisbane on Saturday night.
They looked in danger of losing a seventh in a row after going down 14-3, but fought back through tries from lock Adam Coleman and centre Bernard Foley.
Warren Whiteley and Johan Goosen scored the tries for the Boks.
