Back tattoo exposes 'Silly Sunday' footy streaker

IT'S one thing to take naked aggression into a football grand final but quite another to simply go naked after the match.

Coolaroo player Kevin John James, 28, had been celebrating his Toowoomba AFL team's grand final win on "Silly Sunday" with mates on August 22, Toowoomba Magistrates Court heard.

Police had been called to the Dunne St party about 4.30pm on a report of a man being naked outside the residence's car port, prosecutor Senior Constable Natalie Kieseker told the court.

A witness told police he had seen the naked man grab his genitalia and thrust toward the people at the party, she said.

Police arrived to find a fully clothed and very drunk James who was identified by a tattoo on the back of his shoulder which was described by the witness.

James pleaded guilty to a charge of wilful exposure.

His solicitor David Burns said his client had been very drunk at the time and had been in the shower just prior to the incident.

Taking into account James had spent four-and-a-half hours in the watch house after his arrest, Magistrate Bruce Schemioneck fined him $150.
