SEX crime detectives have released photos of three men wanted for questioning over the gang rape of a teenage girl in Sydney's west.

A 14-year-old girl was walking through a reserve at Doonside last month when she was allegedly attacked by up to five men.

A week into the investigation, a man allegedly turned himself in at the Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with sexual assault.

He has since also been charged with aggravated sexual assault.

Detectives from Strike Force Tompo have now released images of three men they believe could help with their investigation.

The images were captured at the Blacktown and Parramatta train stations on the night of Saturday, February.

All three men are described as being of African appearance and aged in their late teens or early 20s.
