Body found after jet skier, 63, went missing near jetty

UPDATE: The  body of a man has been found during the search for a 63-year-old man who went missing in waters off Redcliffe yesterday.

Police said the body was located by a search helicopter at about 9.30am and was recovered by Brisbane Water Police. Next of kin have been notified.

Police are yet to identify the body.

The 63-year-old man who was reported missing from his jet ski between Tangalooma and Redcliffe on Sunday.

The the jet ski had been recovered on Sunday.

Seven vessels and a helicopter had been concentrating on an area 2.7 miles east of the Redcliffe Jetty.

ABC radio reported the search was scaled down late yesterday in rough seas but was ramped up on Monday morning.
