Jetstar it's your birthday! Happy birthday from Mackay
1,285,573 of you have flown Jetstar on 10,600 services since it's launching on 25 May 2004, almost ten years ago.
Jetstar has transformed the way Australians travel, opening up travel opportunities with its all day, everyday low fares.
Starting with just 84 flights a day between 13 domestic Australian destinations, Jetstar's services have skyrocketed since 2004 with the Jetstar Group of airlines today operating up to 500 daily flights between 37 Australian ports and 66 international destinations.
Jetstar Australia and New Zealand CEO David Hall said Jetstar had made travel more accessible, opening up the world to more Australians than ever.
"We have helped transform the way Australians and millions of others people across the Asia Pacific region travel," Mr Hall said.
"Jetstar has played a crucial role in developing new markets for air travel and supporting regional economies right across Australia.
"We are a true Australian success story and through the past decade we have worked with tourism organisations, all levels of Government and other partners to inspire more people to travel and experience what our country has to offer.
"I'm proud of the role we've played in stimulating that growth and contributing to Australia's vibrant and dynamic tourism industry.
"We look forward to another 10 years in Mackay as Australia's best low fares airline, keeping our skies open, and travel by air affordable for Queenslanders, always."
Demonstrating its commitment to low cost fares, the airline has sold more than five million international fares for under $100 and 500,000 domestic fares for under $20.
