MINING magnate Gina Rinehart "left out the bit about daddy being a major cattle station owner and the biggest mining magnate in Australia", rogue Queensland MP Bob Katter said on Thursday.
Mr Katter hit out at comments Ms Rinehart made in a resource industry column that people should spend less time "smoking, drinking and socialising" and more time working.
He said that being the daughter of the late Lang Hancock, a cattle station owner and mining magnate, "helps as well".
"She says here that the minimum average wage of $600 a week should be cut. This is coming from the world's richest woman," he said.
"So, thank you for your advice, Gina, but this demonstrates the most burning question before the Australian people today: are we going to give the 200,000 jobs that are coming with the coal expansion in the Galilee Basin and other coal areas, and in iron ore to foreign workers as Gina Rinehart wants?"
