Keith Urban set to light up The Voice stage tonight

AUSSIE country music export Keith Urban will return to The Voice stage tonight.

The chart-topping singer, who grew up in Caboolture and is now a judge on American Idol, was a coach on the first season of the hit reality singing show.

Urban will perform his new single Shame and reunite with friend Joel Madden, the only coach who has featured in all three seasons of The Voice Australia.

"I miss Joel," Urban said.

"I miss the lollies they would bring around in the big red chair."

The taping of tonight's show was also the first time Urban had ever met Kylie Minogue, another Australian talent to find success overseas.

It will also be a chance for Urban to observe the coaches' save power in the battle rounds, which was not part of the show's first season.

Urban is in the country for his national Light The Fuse Tour, which starts in Townsville on June 14 and continues in Brisbane on June 17 and 18.
