Kerri-Anne's husband in coma after Coffs fall
THE husband of TV personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley is in an induced coma after falling from a balcony in Coffs Harbour.
John Kennerley sustained spinal injuries during the accident at Bonville Golf Resort last night.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed paramedics were called to the scene at around 9pm and transported Mr Kennerley to Coffs Harbour Health Campus in a serious condition.
The retired businessman was transferred to ICU in Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital this morning.
The couple had been in Coffs Harbour for the QantasLink Bonville Ladies Classic - an annual event Mrs Kennerley has been attending for more than a decade.
Initial reports suggest the couple had been taking photos on the balcony moments before Mr Kennerley fell.
Mrs Kennerley's manager Sean Anderson said Mr Kennerley has suffered head and neck injuries and the situation "was very serious".
"He stepped back to lean against a hedge which they thought was against a fence but there wasn't one and he has gone over and landed very hard on his head," Mr Anderson told Channel 9.
Mrs Kennerley is yet to publicly comment on the incident.
