Too cute: Kindy kids sad after scarecrow's head is stolen
A HEARTFELT letter from school students disappointed by the theft of their scarecrow's head has tugged on the heartstrings of local police.
On March 28, Biloela Police received a heartfelt letter from the students from St Joseph's Pre Prep centre.
Students were very sad and disappointed to come to class only to find that someone had stolen the head from their scarecrow.
Although staff at the centre have reported that a member of the public later located the damaged scarecrow head on a nearby street and returned it, the head was damaged so much it couldn't be reattached.
A new one will need to be created.
Police have reminded the public that although such actions may seem like a fun prank at the time, these actions did amount to criminal offences, including trespass, stealing or wilful damage.
