Is that a kit in your pocket or are you pleased to see me?

A MAN has been busted on CCTV appearing to shove electronic goods down his pants.

Allan Simpson from electronics store VIDCAM posted a video showing the incident entitled "Is that a kit in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?"

It shows a man in a black singlet and green pants browsing for items in the store.

He's holding an item with his right hand which he appears to put down his pants.

The man then spends a few seconds adjusting his shorts.

The shopper then ducks down low.

Seconds later a store attendant comes around the corner to confront the man.

They converse for a few moments before the man retrieves the items from his pants.

Mr Simpson said no charges were pressed as the man didn't leave the store with items.

He returned the items and left the store after being confronted by staff.

Mr Simpson said shoplifting was an issue for retailers across the Garden City.

"It's really frustrating," he said.

Ironically the man was caught in the act on CCTV in a store that specialises in selling surveillance cameras.

Mr Simpson said only a month ago a woman was caught trying to help herself.
