Knife attack against brother

A MAN has been charged for an alleged armed assault after he threatened his brother with a knife at his home in Shannon Brook, west of Casino on Saturday night.

Local police allege a series of assaults took place at the home of a man between 9pm and 1.35am.

The victim's brother, a 37-year old from Queensland, has been charged with detention for advantage and intent, as well as armed with intent.

It is alleged the attacker assaulted his brother a number of times before threatening him with a knife.

The Shannon Brock man was taken to hospital for treatment.

The alleged attacker was refused bail on Sunday morning and will face Lismore court on Monday February 29.
