Row over pet treatment leads to a knife in the leg

TWO people have been arrested after row in Koongal on Monday night during which one person was stabbed in the leg.

A man and a woman allegedly went to a house in Tookers St with a cricket bat and the handle of a pick axe around 7pm after a previous argument.

About 15 minutes earlier, the woman had been to the house and argued over the mistreatment of an animal.

Two males, a female and two teenagers were inside the northside house at the time.

The woman had allegedly threatened she would be back.

The residents managed to disarm the pair during the incident, but one of the alleged intruders was stabbed in the leg with a knife.

A 44-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman then left, but were picked up soon afterwards. They have been charged with assault and burglary with violence and are out on bail.
