Kyhesha-Lee died in pain: Father guilty of manslaughter

 THREE year-old Kyesha-Lee Joughin spent her final days trapped inside her room in a unit in Petrie in Brisbane's northern suburbs. 

The toddler had sustained internal injuries which became infected. she passed away in March 2013. 

Today ABC reports her father, Matthew Lee Williamson, 31, pleaded guilty to his daughter's manslaughter.

However he and a boarder, Christopher Arthur Neville Kent, who was living in the flat where the little girl died both deny causing the fatal injuries. 

News Corp reports Crown prosecutor Todd Fuller QC told the court a rope was tied around the toddler's bedroom door to keep her trapped inside and she was forced to go the toilet where she slept.

"Every movement, including breathing and vomiting, would have caused severe pain," Mr Fuller said.

"She would have survived had she received treatment."

Williamson is expected to contest his sentencing next year arguing his part in his daughter's death extended to neglect not the infliction of the fatal blows.
