Labor reverses election losing trend in the polls
LABOR has reversed the lack of support that saw the party lose government at the September election, a new poll has found.
The Newspoll released Tuesday showed Labor had picked up four percentage points of primary voter support, putting it at 54% versus the Coalition on 46% in the two-party preferred stakes.
While Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has also gained support, almost meeting Prime Minister Tony Abbott as preferred PM, on 37% and 38% respectively.
However, voter satisfaction with both leaders was at the lowest ebb since the 2013 federal election, with dissatisfaction ratings at 52% for Mr Abbott and 39% for Mr Shorten.
