Lambie revolt threatens Palmer's hold on balance of power
CLIVE Palmer's hold on the balance of power is on the brink after he last night banned rogue senator Jacquie Lambie from the party-room.
Tasmanian Senator Lambie voted against PUP policy on proposed Federal Government financial advice reform preventing it passing the senate.
The part had agreed to support the government's changes to reforms the previous Labor government implemented.
Ms Lambie said Mr Palmer would no longer be tell her how to vote and said he was spreading "hurtful rumours" and "sly personal attack" about her.
Mr Palmer denied the allegations and said he hoped Ms Lambie "gets the appropriate assistance to get back on track".
"She just wants to have a fight about nothing which is not a rational way to behave as a respectable Senator," he said.
Without Ms Lambie's vote the PUP has only two Senators - Glenn Lazarus and Dio Wang - as well as Mr Palmer in the lower house.
