Two men killed in horror crash north of Toowoomba

UPDATE 8.10PM: Two men have been killed after a single-vehicle crash north of Toowoomba. 

Emergency services were called to Maidenwell Bunya Mountains Rd at Wengenville, west of Yarraman, about 2pm. 

When crews arrived, the two men were found dead inside a green Ford Falcon sedan. 

Initial investigations suggest the sedan was travelling west along the road when it failed to negotiate a bend, left the road and crashed into a tree.

The 53-year-old male driver and 42-year-old male passenger were killed.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have information in relation to the crash or relevant dash cam footage to contact them.

EARLIER 3.45PM: Emergency services are at the scene of serious single-vehicle crash north of Toowoomba. 

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said three crews were currently at the scene on Maidenwell Bunya Mountain Rd at Wengenville, west of Yarraman.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two people were inside the car which had collided with a tree.

The QFES spokeswoman said crews were currently trying to remove at least one person from the car with cutting tools.

The crash was reported to emergency services about 2.10pm.
