IT HASN'T given up hope of governing, but the LNP has launched a review into what went wrong over the last three years.
State President Bruce McIver said Rob Borbidge and Joan Sheldon, the last conservative leaders to govern Queensland before Campbell Newman, would lead the review.
Mr McIver defended Mr Newman and said he believed voters were still open to the LNP's ideas and reforms, but it may have moved too quickly.
"Perhaps we tried to do too much in the three-year period," he told ABC 612 Brisbane.
"We tried to reform too much. And perhaps the people of Queensland are trying to say, 'look - we support you but you need to take it slower'.
