WESTFUND Health Insurance is spreading the message of community and giving this holiday season with the launch of its 2018 Christmas Appeal.

Each year, the Westfund Christmas Appeal aims to make a difference across regional Queensland and NSW by supporting worthwhile community organisations while also passing on generous donations received from members and the general community.

Westfund Rockhampton is proud to help out the Salvation Army and this week passed on a $500 donation.

"We're thrilled to be able to continue to support the Salvos this year and we hope this donation helps to spread some joy and hope this holiday season,” said Westfund Rockhampton Regional Manager Sarah Aldous.

"We invite and encourage our members and members of the local community to donate toys and non-perishable items to be passed onto the group in the week leading up to Christmas,” she said.

All toys and non-perishable food items can be dropped under the Christmas tree at the Westfund Care Centre.

"Christmas is a wonderful time of year for us all to reflect on the importance of being a part of a great community and ensuring that those less fortunate than ourselves are able to also experience the joy of the season,” said Mrs Aldous.

"Our Christmas Appeal has been such a success within the community for more than 30 years and we love knowing we make a difference for those who face financial hardship, especially at Christmas time.”

Sarah and the friendly staff will be on hand to welcome you.
