Lohan visits homeless teenagers
LINDSAY Lohan has visited a group of homeless teenagers at a shelter in Los Angeles.
The troubled star - who was released from jail on Saturday (25.09.10) after Judge Patricia Schnegg overturned Judge Elden Fox's initial ruling she must stay behind bars until her next court appearance on October 22 - spent last night (26.09.10) visiting the Dream Centre, a mission and outreach centre.
Accompanied by her mother Dina and 16-year-old sister Ali, the 'Machete' actress met with some of the teen girls housed at the facility and handed out purses as gifts.
She tweeted: "What a great place The Dream Center is here in LA... had a nice time there today, it's so important to give back. I feel blessed. (sic)"
The 24-year-old star - who spent just 22 days of a 90-day court-ordered rehab stint in the UCLA Medical Centre following her first release from prison in August - is now said to be heading back to a rehabilitation facility "within days" in the hope of kicking her drug addiction.
Lindsay's estranged father Michael believes rehab is the right place for his daughter to be in order to get her life back on track.
He told gossip website RadarOnline.com: "This is what I have been saying that Lindsay needs all along. If Dina or anyone for that matter continues to put a wall up between Lindsay and I, nothing is going to get better for her. I am going over to the house and I hope that she will see me."
Lindsay was initially sentenced to four weeks in jail after failing two court-ordered drugs tests, but after posting her $300,000 bail, she was released from custody on Saturday.
