Luke signing a big boost for the Rabbitohs

SOUTH Sydney hooker Issac Luke has ended speculation about his future by re-signing with the Rabbitohs until the end of the 2017 season.

The news of the three-year deal comes on the back of reports the Kiwi international will make a return to action this week in the NSW Cup with the Bunnies' feeder team North Sydney.

Luke has been nursing a shoulder injury and there were also rumours circulating that the rake was set to move to the Warriors.

His signature is another boost for the Rabbitohs, who continue to build an impressive roster for next season with the likes of Glenn Stewart and Tim Grant set to join the club for 2015. South Sydney coach Michael Maguire was delighted to keep Luke (pictured) at the club.

"Issac is one of the key players at our club and I've seen him become a leader amongst men during my time with the Rabbitohs," he said.
