Lussick set for time on sideline following ban

RUGBY LEAGUE: Roosters hard man Jared Waerea-Hargreaves may have been prepared to forgive him, but the NRL judiciary has hit Parramatta forward Darcy Lussick with a reckless high tackle charge that could sideline him for six weeks.

With most observers agreeing with Roosters coach Trent Robinson's view that Lussick's (pictured) coat-hanger was a send-off offence, it was not surprising he copped a grade four charge carrying 630 points, discounted down to 472 points (and four matches) with an early guilty plea.

Six players, including Brisbane prop Josh McGuire who was placed on report for two incidents against the Cowboys, were also charged with varying offences.

Canberra lock Shaun Fenson is set to miss Sunday's clash with the Titans after being charged with a crusher tackle on Newcastle's Dane Gagai, which will result in a one-game suspension even with an early guilty plea.
