Magpies fly in Gympie defender for Cats clash

A SHOULDER injury to key Collingwood defender Nathan Brown has earned Gympie product Lachlan Keeffe a call-up for his first game of the 2014 season against Geelong at the MCG tonight.

Keeffe (pictured), elevated to the club's leadership group this season, was overlooked for the first two games, coach Nathan Buckley preferring to go with youngster Jack Frost.

Collingwood has also named utility Alex Fasolo for his first game of the season. The 21-year-old managed just three games last year because of a foot injury.

George Burbury is back in the Cats line-up just seven weeks after breaking his jaw against Collingwood in a NAB Challenge match.

Tall defender Jared Rivers is also back after being a late withdrawal against Brisbane last week.

Veteran Corey Enright has been named in Geelong's squad despite picking up what appeared to be a serious ankle injury against the Lions.
