This Mother's Day, treat your mum to the sweet smells of vanilla and cinnamon in the morning with this light and fluffy French toast, a new spin on the old favourite.
What you will need:
¼ cup of all-purpose flour
1 cup of milk
Sliced bread of your choice
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
What to do:
Measure flour into a mixing bowl.
Add milk, salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and sugar until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium heat.
Soak bread slices in mixture until well soaked.
Place slices on pan and cook until each side is a lovely golden brown.
Serve hot with mum's choice of maple syrup, honey or a fruit topping.
