Rosewood man accused of bomb hoax mentioned in court

A ROSEWOOD man who allegedly called in a bomb threat has had his matter mentioned in court.

Brendan James Galloway, 31, was charged on July 10, 2015 with making a bomb hoax and possessing dangerous drugs.

His legal representative told Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday police alleged Mr Galloway called a person and said there was an atomic bomb placed nearby.

He said negotiations were underway with the Crown over the matter in the hope of resolving it.

Magistrate Stuart Shearer adjourned the matter until February 17.
