A 33-YEAR-old woman was taken into custody after a 27-year-old man was shot in the stomach and airlifted to hospital.
Police were called to a house in Laidley Heights just before 9am on Monday to find a man with a gunshot wound.
The man was transported by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics to Laidley Hospital where the RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter had landed.
He was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a stable condition.
The woman who was in the house at the time was arrested by police and taken to the Ipswich watch house for questioning.
Laidley Senior Sergeant Jim McDonald said the Gatton CIB was investigating.
Senior Sergeant McDonald said the man and woman were in the same family.
On Monday afternoon he said the man was in a serious but stable condition.
