TEARS rolling down her cheeks, Linda Acheson appealed for information about her missing husband and children yesterday.
Linda, of Edington Street, Berserker, last saw Glen Acheson and their son Tanna (14) and daughter Phoebe (9) at 6.30pm on New Year’s Eve.
They left in a white Mitsubishi sedan to buy a takeaway dinner, and didn’t return.
With an un-named friend by her side, Linda kept her shattered emotions under control to say: “If anyone has seen them, can they contact the police or let me know they are safe.
“I love them and I am really concerned.”
Detective Acting Inspector Cal Lynch said there were grave fears for the three because they all have medical conditions which require regular medication.
“A wide range of people have been interviewed by police but we need the public to be additional eyes and ears for us,” he said.
“We are seeking information and cooperation from people to find Mr Acheson and the girls as quickly as possible.”
He stressed their disappearance was not being linked to the floods.
The car is faded white, was first registered in 1991 and has the registration plate 008 JOT.
It has a black louvre in the back window and a Billabong sticker on the back bumper.
Police said despite the additional workload associated with the major flood event in the city, they had devoted a lot of resources to the search because of their welfare concerns.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Mr and Mrs Acheson have another younger child who is safe and well.
