Man to face court over child exploitation material

GOLD Coast police have seized mobile phones, computers and software allegedly belonging to a man charged with possessing child exploitation material.

A 27-year-old Eagleby man was charged on Sunday following an investigation by Detectives from the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit.

Police said a small amount of cannabis and things used in the administration of dangerous drugs was also located and seized during the execution of a search warrant.

The man was charged with one count of possess child exploitation material, one count of possess dangerous drug, one count of possess thing used in the commission of a crime and one count of possess thing used in the administration of a dangerous drug.

He is scheduled to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
