Man to face court on wounding charges

A MAN has been charged with unlawful wounding after an alleged altercation in Bowen in north Queensland this afternoon.

Police were called to an address on Bruce Highway around 1.00pm following reports of an alleged argument between two men.

At the address police located a 25-year-old man with wounds to his chest and stomach.

The man was taken to Mackay Base Hospital for treatment where he remains in a stable condition.

The 29-year-old French National man has been charged with one count of unlawful wounding and is due to appear in the Proserpine Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
