Rape accused allegedly left notes demanding sex from girl

A GAILES man accused of sexually abusing his step-daughter over a four-year period has fronted Ipswich Magistrates Court.

The man, 30, who cannot be named, was charged on January 23, 2016 with 10 counts of indecent treatment, grooming and making child exploitation material.

He was also charged with six counts of rape.

The alleged offences occurred between January 2011 and January 2016.

The man, who works in the car industry, allegedly left notes around the house demanding the girl perform sex acts on him and threatened to rape her if she did not comply.

It is alleged the girl, 11, was forced to write back to her stepfather confirming whether she agreed to perform the acts.

Police will allege the man told his stepdaughter the sexual acts were "role playing."

The man was remanded into custody and the matter was adjourned until April 6.
