26-year-old man seriously injured jumping from train

2.45pm: THE Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service has reported the injured man is believed to be 26-years-old.

The service reported it via Twitter:

2.30pm: A MAN has been seriously injured after jumping off a coal train near Duaringa.

It's believed the man had hitched a ride on the empty coal train heading west from Rockhampton.

Emergency services are on scene, with the RACQ Capricorn Rescue Helictoper en route.
