Man tells court ex-partner spent SPER money on drugs

A ROCKHAMPTON man told a court his ex-partner spent his SPER account money on drugs after he was caught driving with a suspended license.

Troy Royce Hiscox pleaded guilty to one count of driving with a SPER suspended license in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on January 8 after police intercepted him at 3pm on November 15.

The court heard his licence was suspended on August 8.

Hiscox told the court he worked away and had not checked his mail for two months prior to being caught.

Hiscox was fined $250 and disqualified from driving for one month.
