Mark Latham on white men: We are blamed for everything

FORMER Labor Opposition Leader Mark Latham has exploded in a Sydney newspaper column, complaining that white men are the target of "reverse racism" and blamed for "the whole shebang".

In his column for News Limited's Daily Telegraph, Latham writes that while once white men were "Australian citizens", they are now "good for nothing and responsible for everything".

Latham writes that white men like himself are blamed for Islamic terrorists taking up arms, family violence in Aboriginal communities and for causing the suffering of Australia's female population.

He targets senior Fairfax journalist Mark Kenny, who described Senator David Leyonhjelm as an "angry white male", which prompted the Senator to report the comment to the Human Rights Commission under section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act.

Mr Latham said New South Wales greyhound trainers who were now in facing the end of their careers due to the Baird Government's industry ban understood discrimination.

The former Labor leader describes the attacks as coming from the "inner-city Left", who look down their nose at "disadvantaged white men".
