McRampage: Man charged over Maccas drive-thru violence

A MAN allegedly went on a violent rampage at a Townsville McDonald's earlier today after being refused service for attempting to walk through the drive-through.

Police said the man walked through the drive-through at the Stanley St McDonald's in Townsville's CBD about 4.20am and started punching several windows when staff refused to serve him.

He then kicked and punched the front door smashing a panel of glass.

The 40-year-old man was charged with wilful damage and will face the Townsville Magistrates Court on April 19.
