The mean and lean 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series

HERE is on one of the meanest Mercs ever made. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series.

This beast is equipped with the classic 'M156' AMG engine that is featured in the standard C63 AMG, but instead of producing a measly 336kW (451 hp), this example will produce 380kW (517 hp) at 6800rpm and 620Nm of torque (457 ft-lbs) at 5200rpm.

The engine in this Black Edition is more refined than in the C63, and it also shares it's forged pistons, lightweight crankshaft and the connecting rods with the SLS AMG.

This C63 AMG Black Series also has a kerb weight of 1710 kilograms.

This particular Mercedes-Benz is able to launch from 0-100 kilometres per hour in a blistering 4.2 seconds, and it will keep accelerating until it reaches its electronically limited top speed of 300 kilometres per hour (186 miles per hour).

Compared with the standard C63 AMG coupe, this Black Series features a 28mm wider front axle, 48mm wider rear axle, a front splitter, a more aggressive and aerodynamic front bumper, insanely flared wheel arches, bonnet nostrils, an updated rear bumper and much more.

Some other features that this C63 AMG Black Series is equipped with includes 19-inch 10 spoke forged alloy wheels wrapped in performance tyres, variable intermittent rain sensing wipers, MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, a front and rear stabilizer bar, four-wheel ABS as well as traction and stability control, emergency braking assist and preparation, electronic brake force distribution, xenon headlights along with daytime running lights, AMG Carbon Fibre exterior package, a leather/alcantara interior with front sport seats, dual-zone climate controls, AMG Carbon Fibre interior trim and much more.

Mercedes-Benz originally planned to build only 650 examples of the C63 AMG Black Series, but when the customers demanded more to be made, they upped that number to just 800.

Australia, on the other hand, received only 32 examples of the most expensive C-Class ever offered.

When Mercedes Australia were selling these models, they had a base-price of $245,000 AUD plus on-road costs.
