Medical emergency on flight to Bundaberg

A QANTAS flight into Bundaberg this morning was met with paramedics after a mid-flight emergency.

An 80-year-old man on board flight QF2320 from Brisbane to Bundaberg suffered severe chest pains mid flight.

A passenger on board the plane said they heard a large grunt before hostesses went to the man's aid.

The flight attendants gave the man oxygen and asked if anyone on board was a doctor.

A female passenger came forward to help the man and the pilot announced to passengers that an ambulance would be meeting them as soon as the plane hit the tarmac.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said emergency services got the call at 9.20am and transported the man to Bundaberg Hospital with a potential cardiac condition.
