Panthers halt Springsure at the front gate

MIDDLEMOUNT Panthers found just enough in the tank to hang on to a 27-26 win over Springsure Mountain Men.

The one-point field goal by Middlemount’s Ryan Hansell gave the Panthers only the slimmest of buffers to solidify a crucial win and retain fifth position on the leaderboard outright. Panther’s Patrick McMahon scored twice for the visitors.

Despite their hardships, Springsure Mountain Men have vowed to never surrender and do whatever it takes to avoid forfeiting any remaining Central Highlands matches.
