Miley Cyrus ditches the durries
MILEY Cyrus is "proud" of herself for giving up cigarettes two months ago.
The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker, who previously admitted she regularly uses marijuana, has revealed she stopped smoking tobacco in early December.
She wrote on Twitter on Monday: "2 months no cigs #proudofmyself (sic)."
The 21-year-old star gave no indication about whether she intends to stop smoking other substances too but it seems unlikely given Miley gushed about her love of "weed" during an interview with Ronan Farrow for the March issue of W magazine.
She said: "I love weed. I just love getting stoned. I just want it to be back to where it's, like, organic, good weed."
Miley's good friend Demi Lovato hit out at celebrities who glamourize drugs earlier this week.
In a tribute to the late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died of an apparent heroin overdose in New York City on Sunday , the 'Skyscraper' hitmaker, who has struggled with marijuana and cocaine abuse in the past, tweeted: "I wish more people would lose the stigma and treat addiction as the deadly and serious DISEASE that it is.
Drugs are not something to glamorize in pop music or film to portray as harmless recreational fun."
