Minimum wage increased by Fair Work Commission

THE Fair Work Commission has increased the minimum wage by $15.80 a week. 

The change means a worker on the award minimum wage will now get paid $17.70 an hour or $672.70 a week. 

The changes will come in to effect on July 1.
