A 15-year-old missing girl that police have "serious concerns" for may be interstate with a man in his 40s, police believe.

Emmadilla Peacock-Lewis has not made contact with family or friends and was last seen leaving a property on French Street in East Toowoomba on September 28.

Police have not uncovered "any evidence of activity" from the girl, including on her social media accounts, Detective Senior Sergeant Damien Powell said.

EARLIER: Toowoomba teen now missing for four weeks.

Senior Sergeant Powell, who heads the Missing Persons Unit, said the case had not reached the stage where it was considered a homicide investigation.

He said Emmadilla and the man - who has been described as a friend - may have travelled to Tasmania because he has links to the state. However he said Queensland and Tasmanian police had failed to find any leads.
