Moody rules out another run in Sydney for Black Caviar

BRISBANE, Adelaide or Royal Ascot.

They are the three options for superstar Black Caviar provided she recovers well from Saturday's TJ Smith Stakes victory at Randwick.

Trainer Peter Moody ruled out another run in Sydney in the $400,000 Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) on April 27 after the mare returned to his Caulfield stable yesterday morning.

"If I was going to run her in the All Aged I would have kept her here," Moody said on RSN. "I wouldn't do the two trips in two weeks."

"We won't get a definitive opportunity to see how she pulls up for the fact that she's going to have a long road trip and she'll have three or four easy days," he said.

"We won't go poking and prodding her ... we'll give her a few days peace and quiet, and then we'll make sure everything's still where it should be and have a chat to the owners in the middle of the week and see what they want to do."

The possibilities include the $400,000 BTC Cup (1200m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday, May 12, the $500,000 Goodwood Handicap (1200m) at Morphettville in Adelaide on the same day, or a return to England.

The most likely target there would be the King's Stand Stakes (1000m) at Royal Ascot in June.

Moody and the owners are known to be warming to the idea of a return visit to England. Given her career-best condition it would enable Black Caviar to put to bed any doubts about her true ability after the heart-stopping victory in last year's Diamond Jubilee Stakes when she was hampered by injury.

It would also allow the mare to stay in the country for a dream mating with superstar Frankel.
