Mum who gave girl, 5, chemo drugs to face sentence

A FORMER Mackay woman who pleaded guilty to poisoning her daughter with chemotherapy drugs she bought online will face sentencing tomorrow.

It is believed the five-year-old girl has started prep and has been given a clean bill of health.

The case made headlines all over the world last year as her mother documented the girl's health battles on Facebook.

Photographs of her daughter losing her hair generated a wave of sympathy and donations.

The 22-year-old mother, who cannot be identified, has been in custody since her arrest in April last year.

She pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and is due to be sentenced tomorrow.
