Motorcycle rider killed in crash with ute

A PERSON has died in a serious traffic in inner-Brisbane this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Nudgee Rd and Gadara St, Hendra, around 5.45am.

It is understood a ute and a motorcyclist collided, with the ute smashing through the side fence of a home.

QPS Senior Sergeant Bob Knight confirmed the crash resulted in the death of the motorcycle rider, a man in his mid 30s.

"At this stage we are still conducting enquiries into the collision," he said.

The section of road between Gerler Rd and Hedley Ave is closed.

In Newmarket, a woman in her 20s has been treated for "moderate injuries" after an incident involving a car and a cyclist.
